Jillian Tomm: The persistence of memory: Developing appropriate methods for the analysis of a philosopher’s library

Jillian Tomm is a PhD Candidate in the School of Information Studies. She will talk about factors involved in the choice of the Raymond Klibansky Collection as a research topic, in the articulation of research questions, and in the development of a feasible methodological approach.

The purpose of the SIS' Speaker Series is to give Ph.D. and masters students in the School of Information Studies a behind-the-scenes glimpse at research and the research process. There are four speakers in the Fall term and another four speakers in the Winter 2010 term. Students and faculty from the Faculty of Education as well as the wider McGill community are invited to attend.
