Considering a career in international arbitration?

Take part in the "Introduction to International Arbitration Program" provided by the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators on Saturday, February 20, 2016 at McGill's Faculty of Law. This special one-day program familiarizes you with the essential features, laws, and rules of international arbitration. You also learn about various dispute resolution procedures, the composition, powers and jurisdiction of the arbitral tribunal, statements of claim and defence, organization of the arbitral proceeding, costs and interest, arbitral hearings, and the drafting and enforcement of arbitral awards. Upon completion of the course, you are eligible to apply to be an Associate member of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators.

The McGill Journal of Dispute Resolution is proud to sponsor this opportunity, being offered at a reduced fee of US $100 for Canadian law students (regular price is US $350). The course runs from 9 AM to 5PM and includes lunch, snacks, as well as a networking event with senior members and leaders of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators in the evening.

An application has been made for 6.5 hours of continuing legal education with the Barreau du Québec.
