Join us for a panel discussion with creative researchers who have moved beyond the Ivory Tower, from starting an NGO, to working with the World Wildlife Fund, giving environmental advice to President Obama, and figuring out how to feed a hungry world.
We’ll talk about the practical challenges of communicating research, translating it into action, and staying balanced through it all.
Moderated by Bernhard Lehner; Panelists: Adrian Deveny, Mitchell Irwin, Grace Marquis.
This panel discussion is presented as part of the Sixth Interdisciplinary Graduate Student Research Symposium which will be held on March 26-27, 2009.
