The first inter-university neuroscience symposium

Friday, June 17, 2016 09:00to17:00
Bibliothèque et Archives nationales du Québec, CA, QC, Montreal, 475 boul. De Maissonneuve Est, CA

The first inter-university neuroscience symposium is coming to Montréal very soon.

What is it? McGill (GSAN) joined forces with UdeM, Concordia, UQAM and other Quebec universities to prepare a day that includes presentations by professors and peers, 5-minute pitch talks, poster presentations and panel discussions, all of which will focus on the future of neuroscience. We aim at bringing together all graduate neuroscience students and postdocs to meet, present their projects, and network. Research assistants, research associates, technicians, PIs and other members of the neuroscientific community are encouraged to participate in the panels. The long term objective is to create a larger Québec neuroscience community. This event will be very interactive; This event won't be your regular congress, conference, seminar or what not. We want to change the world, that's what we want.

Keynote speaker: Roy Wise (NIDA), a leading expert in motivation and addiction
Godfather: Rémi Quirion, Chief Scientist Officer, Fonds de recherche du Québec
