Economics without Growth

Tuesday, October 4, 2016 12:00to13:00
Thomson House Ballroom, 3650 rue McTavish, Montreal, QC, H3A 1Y2, CA

Special preesentation by Visiting Scholar Stewart Wallis.

The former director of New Economics Foundation argues that if we are to achieve the necessary reductions in carbon emissions, start regenerating critical ecosystems, and stop catastrophic species loss, economic growth in the richer countries of the world will need to be halted or even reversed. What are the implications and what should and can we continue to grow? Stewart will deliver a message of hope –not despair!

Sponsored by Economics for the Anthropocene (E4A) Project, McGill University and the Post-Graduate Student Society (PGSS), McGill University
