The Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital (The Neuro) at McGill University is holding a symposium on May 17, 2012 dedicated to the memory of Dr. David Colman. In September 2002, Dave Colman moved with his family to Montreal to become Director of The Neuro, one of five institutions supported by the Killam Trusts. He was deeply committed to Wilder Penfield's original vision of an integrated research and clinical institution and had a strong impact on all who had the good fortune to know him.

David Colman passed away suddenly on June 1, 2011. Because his visionary leadership has had a profound and lasting impact on the Neuro, we are holding a scientific symposium as a tribute to David's inquiring mind, broad interests and significant contributions. Exciting talks will be given by world leaders in neuro-engineering, synaptogenesis and cognition. We promise an exciting day and hope that you will join us for this major McGill and Neuro event.
