CWOQ: Fighting illiteracy in Canadian backyards

Literacy is the single most important academic skill taught in elementary school, yet one in five high school graduates can't read well enough to handle the challenges of everyday life. It is clear that there remains a pressing need for high-quality literacy support for young children in Canadian schools.
