Council of Constance 1414-1418

Presenter: Harald von Cramon
This church council, under the auspices of the emperor Sigismund, deposed three popes and then elected a new one. The Czech reformer Jan Hus, who came to the council to defend his views, was declared a heretic and burned at the stake. One of the most intriguing aspects of this council is that a contemporary burgher, Ulrich Richental, documented its activities.
