This Mini-Music series takes a look at the creative process
of music, revealing some of what to listen for and to look for
behind the scenes. Join us as we explore concepts of musical
imagery, performance practice, critical listening, opera staging
and production.
Join Directors Patrick Hansen and George Massenburg as they
discuss the behind-the-scenes secrets to crafting last year's
critically acclaimed Opera McGill presentation of Puccini's "La
Boheme", an effort which gave birth to a seminal DVD of a
multi-camera shoot of an Opera McGill production. Using video
excerpts of the DVD master footage, we will detail how the two
directors collaborated on creating this seminal project.
