The Linguistic Rights McGill student club have invited special guest lecturer Yvon Godin, Member of Parliament, Acadie-Bathurst (NDP), to speak on "Bilingualism at the Supreme Court of Canada: Constitutional, Juridical and Legislative Ramifications."

Linguistic Rights McGill is a student-operated working group at the Faculty of Law whose principal aim is to promote, study, and advance the rights and freedoms of Canada's linguistic minority communities. The group's primary emphasis is on Francophone linguistic minorities outside the province of Quebec, with an attentive eye to issues such as access to justice, the enforcement of the federal Official Languages Act and of provincial French Services Acts, bilingualism requirements for certain positions, as well as emerging issues affecting Canada's Francophone linguistic minority communities.
