BIC Lecture Series: Winter 2011 Program

The "BIC Lecture Series" is a series of informal lectures on brain imaging that is presented at the McConnell Brain Imaging Centre (BIC) of the Montreal Neurological Institute (MNI) by experts in the field; these lectures are open to all.

The Winter 2011 Program of the BIC Lecture Series will feature a number of presentations examining the use of advanced brain imaging techniques to better understand the structure and function of the human brain.  The theme for this season's BIC Lecture Series will be "The Cerebral Cortex" -- with many of the lectures being aimed at exploring how different structural and functional imaging techniques are being used to further our understanding of this most incredible structure.

Please join us for our sixth lecture of the season, which will be held on Monday, February the 28th, at 1:00 pm in the de Grandpré Communications Centre of the MNI (3801 University Street, Montreal, QC, H3A 2B4).

This lecture will be given by Dr. Howard Chertkow, who will give us an introduction to how magnetic resonance imaging and amyloid imaging is being used to study patients with Alzheimer’s Disease.
