Saturday, March 21, 2009 18:30
205 - 8th Avenue SE, 205 - 8th Avenue SE, Dress Circle lobby, Jack Singer Concert Hall, Calgary, Alberta, CA

Join us for our annual evening with the renowned Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra. The CPO will play works from the height of 19th century romanticism.

The McGill Alumni Association of Southern Alberta will host a private reception prior to the concert offering guests the chance to meet Maestro Roberto Minczuk (as well as one or two special guests). This will be an excellent opportunity to discuss the program, the CPO and classical music in general.

Program:
-Richard Strauss’s Don Quixot, featuring solo cellist Philip Hansen,
-Johannes Brahms’s Piano Concerto No. 1, featuring master pianist Horacio Gutiérrez.

The program will be directed by the CPO’s music director and resident conductor, Roberto Minczuk.

Cost: $75 CAD
