Alumni Association of Ottawa presents "Tea Tasting"

Exploring the Cultures of East Asia: Featuring the Japanese Tea Ceremony and the Lotus Tea Ceremony of Vietnam with Rebecca Lyn Cragg, BEd’98, President, Camellia Teas of Ottawa.

Join us for an evening of tradition, culture and tea, featuring the ancient Japanese Tea Ceremony known as chanoyu. Presentation and demonstration of this ritualized serving and drinking of tea will be followed by a tasting of the rare matcha, imported directly from Kyoto, Japan.

Following a short break, there will be a presentation of the Lotus Tea Ceremony, featuring the highest grade of authentic lotus tea, carried by a Camellia courier directly from Hanoi. Guests will enjoy the delicate, floral green tea.

Both presentations will feature a small traditional sweet.
