The Alumni Association of Hong Kong presents "Happy Hour"
We are teaming up with grads from the University of Victoria for
a special alumni happy hour.
Like McGill, the University of Victoria consistently places at the
top of "Maclean’s" university rankings. But that’s not the only
thing the two universities have in common.
In fact, McGill and UVic share a long history, stretching all
the way back to McGill’s role in founding Victoria College (an
institution originally certified to grant first- and second-year
course credits toward a McGill degree) in 1903. For that reason,
UVic’s three-building residence is named after McGill, as is a
campus road, and the UVic flag - with three martlets above an open
book - is a deliberate reversal of McGill’s crest. Even the student
newspaper at UVic is named the "Martlet"!
So come join alumni from our sister school for an evening of
conversation, networking and friendly new faces. This will be the
first of many UVic-McGill happy hours, so help us kick it off with
gusto!
COST: Whatever you enjoy in food or drinks.
