Chancellor Day Hall 3644 rue Peel, Montreal, QC, H3A 1W9, CA

his year, the Actus Reus players of the Faculty of Law are putting on "7 Stories", a dark, absurdist comedy by Canadian playwright Morris Panych.

A woman undergoing an existential crisis climbs to a seventh-floor ledge and contemplates jumping. But before she can make up her mind, curtains begin opening onto seven different apartments, revealing the lives and characters within, and the woman is drawn into their dramas and absurdities.

Though she knows no one in the building, she's handed a drink and a cigarette, hectored, befriended, philosophized at, and accused of all kinds of complicities. Before you know it, nearly an hour and a half has gone by and our antihero is still perched on the ledge.
