11th Annual Pow Wow with A Tribe Called Red Workshop & Concert

The First Peoples’ House at McGill University is proud to present the 11th Annual Pow Wow, a celebration of Indigenous peoples’ art and culture. Located on the Lower West Field, this event is free and open to the public.

We are pleased to welcome electronic music group A Tribe Called Red who will be holding a workshop at the Pow Wow. ATRC will also be performing the same evening as part of Pop Montreal. Reduced price tickets for the show are available from FPH for $7 (regular price is $10 + fees). Any remaining tickets will be sold at the FPH booth at the Pow Wow.

ATCR creates an eclectic sound made up of a
wide variety of musical styles ranging from
Hip-Hop, Dance Hall, Electronic, and their own
mash-up of club and Pow Wow music, known as
Pow Wow Step.

ATCR will discuss all aspects of making music,
focusing on the political side of their work,
confronting stereotypes,taking control of their
own Indigenous image and creating an urban
Native identity.
