Construction Start: Rutherford Building – CFI IF 2020, Brunner

McGill University has mandated CORENOV to carry out the following project: 19-117 Rutherford Building – CFI IF 2020, Brunner.

The project consists of renovating room 025 in the first basement of Rutherford Building to accommodate new equipment for the lab. Minor interventions will take place in rooms 003, 024A, 026, 027, 029A,030, B1-HALL2 & B1-HALL5A.

Construction start date: March 25, 2024

Planned construction end date: End of September 2024

Work schedule: Monday to Friday, 6 a.m. to 3 p.m. Any additional hours will be coordinated.

Scope of work:

The scope of work consists of upgrades to mechanical and electrical systems to accommodate new equipment. A wall with double doors will be built to separate the room into two distinct areas. Existing doors will be replaced with double doors, and existing flooring will be replaced.

Impact:

Service shutdowns will be required. Occupants of the building will be informed in advance.

During construction, access to certain spaces outside the construction zone will be required for the installation or modification of electromechanical services. Such construction work will be coordinated in advance with the building director and the building occupants.
