FRQNT Team Research Project Infosession

The Office of Sponsored Research (OSR) is pleased to invite McGill faculty members and administrators to an information session on FRQNT’s Team Research Project Program. The purpose of this program is to foster the emergence of new research niches in all scientific fields covered by FRQNT and enhance the ability of Quebec researchers to compete in federal competitions by carrying out innovative projects, to promote the pooling of researchers with the complementary expertise needed to carry out a research project, and to provide a conducive environment to high-caliber student training and supervision.

Researchers in natural sciences, mathematical sciences and engineering who are planning to apply to the upcoming FRQNT Team Research Project competition (2018-2019) are encouraged to attend this information session, which will take place on August 2, 2017 at 10 a.m. 

Overview:

1.     Presentation by Alison Glaser, Grants and Agreements Officer

2.     Tips and best practices for sound grant application by Professor Bernard Turcotte (Microbiology and Immunology) and Professor Thomas Szkopek (Electrical and Computer Engineering)

3.     Q&A Period.

OSR will provide an internal guide for preparing applications to this funding opportunity, which will be distributed after the workshop.

  • The new online registration system, FRQnet, has launched in July.
  • The deadline has changed from previous years: the internal deadline for this competition will now be on August 30 and the FRQNT deadline is September 13. Please plan accordingly.
