The Child Psychiatry Research Committee is sponsoring a Child Psychiatry Research Seminar.  This seminar is open to all staff and students. The seminar will be informal and encourage active audience participation and discussion.

Dr. Anthony Gifuni,

Presenter: Dr. Gifuni recently graduated from his residency in psychiatry at McGill University. He was awarded a Resident-Researcher Training Award from the FQRS and he is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Neuroscience. His current work examines the neuroimaging biomarkers of suicidality in adolescence, with functional and structural scanning techniques.

Learning Objectives:
1. Participants will examine the prevalence of childhood trauma in a clinical sample of suicidal adolescents
 2. Participants will explore the relationship between adolescent suicidal history and the neural response to social rejection.
 3. Participants will reflect on the clinical implications of these results to personalize intervention in suicidal youth
