A number of McGill varsity sports teams will be in action over the holidays. The only local events will be in basketball, with the Redmen suiting up for the Classique des Citadins tournament at UQAM and the Martlets playing at the Concordia-Reebok Invitational tourney. Both hockey teams will be out of town, along with the volleyball, track and swim teams.
Both of McGill's hockey and swim team are listed among the final CIS national rankings of the fall. The Top 10 will resume on Tuesday, Jan. 11, 2011.
Free admission is being offered to anyone who brings a non-perishable food item to any McGill basketball, hockey or volleyball home game this weekend.
