The Sherbooke Vert & Or exploded for three first half goals to upend the visiting McGill Martlets 3-0 in an RSEQ women's soccer semifinal, Friday. Sherbrooke advances to the league championship game against the division-leading Montreal Carabins, Sunday at 11 am, while the Martlets will lick their wounded pride and focus on preparing for the CIS championship at Molson Stadium, Nov. 10-13.

Soccer Martlets win in dying moments, Redmen lose in final seconds

Meghan Bourque scored the game-winner with three minutes remaining as McGill blanked Laval 1-0 in women's soccer at Percival Molson Stadium, Friday. In men's action, Samuel Georget scored in injury time as first-place Laval (7-2-1) escaped with a 1-0 victory over McGill (5-3-1).

Martlets cruise past Concordia, headed for playoffs on a roll

Julia Bahen of Vancouver, B.C., scored the game-winner on a penalty-kick as the McGill women's soccer team skunked Concordia 3-0 to close out regular season play at Concordia stadium, Sunday. McGill ended up third in the Quebec conference with an 8-3-3 record and will take a 3-0-1 undefeated streak into the sudden-death semifinal at second-place Sherbrooke on Nov. 4.
