Striker Axel Dovi, a native of Kinshasa, scored the game-winner as McGill tripled the UQTR Patriotes 3-1 in men's university soccer at Molson Stadium, Sunday. The result clinched a playoff berth in the Quebec conference for the Redmen, which improved to 6-3-2 and can finish anywhere from first to fourth place with two contests remaining in the regular season.
Martin Raymond, an assistant coach with the National Hockey League's Tampa Bay Lightning, headlined a cast of six inductees enshrined Thursday into the McGill Sports Hall of Fame, bringing the list of honoured members to 107 since the pantheon opened in 1996. The induction luncheon kicked off the University's Homecoming Week celebrations.
