Alain Li and Aurélie Lacroix, PhD students in Chemistry, were selected from a strong pool of applicants as finalists in McGill’s French 3MT competition. The competition took place on Wednesday, March 16, in the Thomson House Ballroom. Aurélie Lacroix won one of the 3 prizes with her presentation "Ciblage thérapeutique avec des cages d'ADN". Aurélie will defend McGill's colors at the upcoming Quebec wide competition. Congratulations Aurélie!
PhD candidate Kiyoko Gotanda captured the award-winning photos on her Canon 7D Mark II camera while on a research trip to Santa Cruz Island in the Galápagos in January 2015.
The Galápagos Islands inspired Charles Darwin’s theory of evolution almost 150 years ago and have since been crucial to evolutionary biology, including to Gotanda’s own research on Darwin’s Galápagos finches.
It’s been a banner year for Berdj Garabedian, who’s currently working towards his Graduate Diploma in Translation at McGill’s School of Continuing Studies. In June he was the recipient of the McGill Associates Prize in Translation (French-English), and this fall he was awarded this year’s Network of Translators in Education (NTE) Merit Scholarship.

The Resident Awards Night took place at the Thomson House on November 21st. I would like to thank the MPRA and the Department of Psychiatry for making this a special evening where we were able to honor Faculty and Resident achievements.
