Are You Teaching Now? myCourses was upgraded!
This upgrade improves general usability and tools such as Content and Grades. If you haven’t already, check out the links below to ensure you have everything you need.
myCourses - Instructors need to re-add "External Tools" widget (for Lecture Recording)
As of yesterday, Sept 23, 2013, the External Tools widget, used to modify lecture recording settings, was removed from all Course Home pages. Instructors who use Lecture Recordings and need to change the settings, e.g.
myCourses upgrade completed!
The myCourses upgrade has been successfully completed and the system is now available.
The first thing you'll notice is a brand new interface. But don't be worried; once you start working with it you'll realize that all the familiar tools are basically unchanged. There are improvements to general usability and to tools such as Content and Grades. See the New Features on the LMS website.
myCourses unavailable on Friday, July 26, from midnight to 5pm during system upgrade
The myCourses system will be completely unavailable due to a system upgrade on Friday, July 26, 2013 from midnight to 5:00 PM.
For instructors using myCourses this summer, please ensure you do not schedule any assignments or quizzes for your students to complete for that day.

The new myCourses Learning Management System has been in use for a full academic year, and we are now considering a first upgrade for Fall 2013.

Maintenance for authentication system used to log into myCourses, Involved@McGill and other systems - May 26, 2013
On Sunday, May 26, between 9:00 and 9:10 am there will be a scheduled maintenance for the University's federated authentication system, which is used to log users into myCourses, Involved@McGill and other systems. Logins may be affected for approximately 1 minute during this 10-minute maintenance window.
If you are having problems logging into myCourses during this time you can still access myCourses via the myMcGill portal.
Server maintenance - Nov. 26 from 6 pm to 11:59 pm: Potential interruptions to several services
Maintenance will be performed on the Enterprise Storage Area Network (SAN) on Monday, November 26 between 6 pm and 11:59 pm. We do not anticipate any impact on McGill applications or IT services, however, with any such maintenance, problems may be incurred. We apologize in advance for any service interruptions.

myCourses (new system) monthly downtime Sunday, December 9
The new myCourses system will be unavailable due to regular maintenance on Sunday, December 9 from 1 am to 7 am.
