Hilary and Jackie is the tragic story of world renowned classic cellist Jacqueline du Pré, as told from the point of view of her sister, flautist Hilary du Pré-Finz. Based on Hilary du Pré’s book “A Genius in the Family”, the movie chronicles the rise to fame and physical decline of Jacqueline du Pré. Jackie is diagnosed with Multiple Sclerosis, which first manifests as dementia, and later results in complete paralysis.
