The BRIDGE to Convergence of Health and Economics: The Case of Fruits and Vegetables and their Health and Wealth Consequences
This workshop is part of the design process for the agri-food module of the BRIDGE to Convergence of Health and Economics. It will focus specifically on fruits and vegetables, and their health (protection against micro-nutrient deficiency, obesity, diabetes and other chronic diseases) and wealth (economic contributions for farmers, agri-food actors and healthcare cost containment) consequences.
On the occasion of the 12th International Congress on Engineering and Food (ICEF12) hosted in Québec City from June 14-18th 2015, the MCCHE has organized an industry panel “Convergence on Food Innovation for Health and Wealth” as part of the plenary program. The theme of the panel builds upon the Convergent Innovation (CI) research and action developed with our network of national and international partners.
