Join us for the 3rd annual Neuro Family Day!

The 3rd Annual Albert Aguayo Lecture entitled "What do astrocytes do?" will be given by Ben Barres, MD, PhD, Professor of Neurobiology and Developmental Biology of Stanford University. This annual lecture honours Dr. Albert Aguayo, founder and former Director of the Centre for the Research in Neuroscience at McGill University.

This year’s Dorothy J. Killam Lecturer is Dr. Lily Jan who is a Professor of Physiology and Biochemistry at the University of California in San Francisco. Dr. Jan will deliver her lecture, “Potassium channels and calcium-activated chloride channels for neuronal signaling”.

Registration period for Fall 2012 and Winter 2013 using Minerva for all newly-admitted undergraduate students in the following faculties who have been admitted from Quebec CEGEPs as well as French Baccalaureate students from College Marie de France and College Stanislas: Agricultural and Environmental Sciences, Arts (including School of Social Work), B.A.&Sc., Education...

Quebec CEGEP students may obtain their student cards as of June 11. The locations and operating hours of ID card centres on both campuses can be found on the Student Information website http://www.mcgill.ca/students. Students must be registered for at least one Fall term course, and need to bring their McGill ID number, valid photo ID, and the documents used to prove citizenship status.

RACE Day (Registration and Advising for CEGEP Entrants) for Engineering students, including Architecture students. Early advising regarding course selection, help with registration issues, and tours of the Engineering complex.

The Neuro Film Series season finale "Iris" will be hosted by Dr. Edith Hamel who will discuss the film and current Alzheimer research and treatment.
