Dr. Nathan Hall, Assistant Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology(ECP), published his first book titled, "Emotion, Motivation, and Self-Regulation: A Handbook for Teachers", with co-author Dr. Thomas Goetz, Adjunct Professor in ECP.

Dr. Susanne Lajoie, Canada Research Chair Tier 1 and Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology(ECP), and members of the Learning Environments Across Disciplines (LEADS) research group were featured in McGill's Headway magazine, spring 2013 issue, for their collaborative research to enhance learning through digital technology.
Dr. Nancy Heath, James McGill Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology, was interviewed in the Globe and Mail about her research on students stress when transitioning from elementary school to high school.
The Heath Research Team are now giving back to participating schools and students by offering a Stress Management workshop this year.

Dr. Marilyn Fitzpatrick, Associate Professor in the Department of Educational and Counselling Psychology was awarded the 2013 Faculty of Education Distinguished Teaching Award!
Dr. Fitzpatrick is currently the Program Director of ECP's Counselling Psychology Masters and Doctoral programs, and has and continues to supervise many students in this area.
