McGill University’s Award for Equity & Community Building was approved by Senate and the Board of Governors in April 2012. This award recognizes the work of students, faculty and staff committed to advancing equity and diversity at McGill. The first competition for the award will be held in 2013, with a nomination deadline of March 15th 2013.
Within the award, there are three streams of recognition. Up to three awards may be granted per year, one in each stream.

Scientific studies have shown that natural environments can have remarkable benefits for human health. Natural environments are more likely to promote positive emotions; and viewing and walking in nature have been associated with heightened physical and mental energy.
