Monday marks the 108th anniversary of the first Canadian university basketball game played in Canada. The first organized intercollegiate hoops contest was played in Kingston, Ont., between McGill and Queen’s on Feb. 6, 1904. McGill defeated the Golden Gaels 9-7 in overtime.

Double-double not enough as Redmen offence has toil and trouble

Tristan Renaud-Tremblay of Terrebonne, Que., pulled off a 'double-double" with a game-high 12 points and 10 rebounds but it was not enough as visiting McGill suffered a low scoring 51-35 setback at UQAM, Friday.
