Marc Gélinas is McGill alum with strong sports leadership background at both federal and provincial levels
Marc Gélinas (B.Ed. (Phys. Ed) 1983, M.A. 1989) brings over twenty years of sports leadership experience to his new role as McGill’s Executive Director of Athletics and Recreation. A former pitching prospect for the Pittsburgh Pirates, with both undergraduate and graduate degrees from McGill, Gélinas comes to McGill from the Institut national du sport (INS) du Québec.
Charline Labonté (B.Ed. (Phys. Ed.) 2012, MA (Sport Psych.) 2015) told Steve Ewen of Postmedia News that she "missed playing for Canada," and that she is happy to be at the worlds competition, in a recent article published by National Post.
When Shu Hattori started working at McKinsey & Co. in 2008, he constantly jotted down in a notebook insights into how to do his job better, harvested from his own experiences and by watching others around him. At one point, a colleague suggested the native of Britain and McGill University commerce graduate consider writing a book. By then, he had amassed about 70 principles drawn from the firm. He trimmed those to 47, which are featured in his new book The McKinsey Edge.
