Research in Music Performance
This course will deal with recent research in music performance.
The premature death of French composer Gérard Grisey (1946–98) cut short one of the most productive and creative musical careers of the twentieth century. Starting in the 1970s, Grisey and other musicians associated with the ensemble l’Itinéraire developed a radically new musical approach that took the physical characteristics of sounds (their acoustical spectra) as a source of inspiration.
Due to preventive maintenance, there will be no electricity in Laird Hall on Macdonald campus on Wednesday, July 23 from 6 to 10am.
While emergency power will still be available, power will not be available for other services (such as wireless) or for computers.

In June, Dr. Isabelle Vedel was awarded the New Investigator Salary Award: Winter 2013 Priority Announcement - Community-based Primary Health Care - by the CIHR. This award that entails a contribution made to outstanding candidates that are conducting independent research, will go towards Dr. Vedel’s project on Alzheimer’s disease.
