Head of marketing at John Fluevog Shoes in Vancouver, Stephen Bailey scouts new store locations and conducts store visits across North America. When he's not working for one of Canada's favourite footwear brands (Air Canada rouge flight attendants wear Fluevog proudly), Bailey designs men's accessories with his wife for their company, Cursor & Thread.

Study areas on main floor of Redpath Library Building closed until late July

Renovations are currently taking place in the Redpath Library Building, making parts of the main floor temporarily inaccessible.

Study areas and group study rooms on the main floor of the Redpath Library Building are closed.

The e-classroom (Room RM-23), Cybertheque (basement level) and Blackader area (2nd floor) will remain open and are accessible via alternate routes.

The Writing Centre can be accessed via the Redpath Hall entrance on the side terrace.

Scholarships available for new one-credit course taken in collaboration with l’École d’été

This August, McGill University’s School of Continuing Studies (SCS) will be hosting L’École d’été, a yearly event organized by l’Institut de Nouveau Monde. L’École d’été will bring together 500+ youth to engage with civil society leaders on a variety of issues related to social engagement in Quebec.

If investors needed another reason to distrust the stock market, here’s a doozy. A study by a trio of researchers in the U.S. and Canada into insider trading found that one-quarter of the big merger and acquisition (M&A) deals over a 15-year period—roughly 460 transactions in total—may have seen people profiting on information before it was public.
