Joe Schwarcz talks science and the paranormal

Mon, 2006-09-11 18:00
Maass Chemistry Building : 801 rue Sherbrooke Ouest Montreal Quebec Canada , H3A 0B8

Since the dawn of civilization, man has been fascinated by phenomena which appear to lie outside the scope of science. Our history is peppered with accounts of psychics foretelling the future, mediums conversing with the dead and aliens in UFOs abducting earthlings. This lecture examines paranormal phenomena and describes how many of the effects can be explained by perfectly "natural" means.
