PhD student Ali Jahanbani Ardakani and Prof. François Bouffard have been awarded at the 2014 IEEE Power & Energy Society (PES) General Meeting in Washington DC an IEEE PES Technical Committee Prize Paper Award for their article "Identification of Umbrella Constraints in DC-Based Security-Constrained Optimal Power Flow". Their paper was published in the November 2013 issue of the IEEE Transactions on Power Systems.
