The MUHC announces Life Sciences Technopole plans

Dr. Arthur T. Porter, Director General and CEO of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), announced the creation of a task force to develop a comprehensive vision and business plan for a Life Sciences Technopole that would build on the medical research achievements of the MUHC.

MUHC neuroscientist Keith Murai has been awarded a $350,000 grant to study the communication possibilities of neuron-supporting cells, called glial cells, that until recently were thought to be passive players in brain function.
