Is it magic or science?

Sat, 2007-10-13 14:00
Maass Chemistry Building : 801 rue Sherbrooke Ouest Montreal Quebec Canada , H3A 0B8

Dr. Joe Schwarcz is back to entertain you and your family! When people think of science, images of fascinating colour changes, explosions, incomprehensible formulas, undecipherable diagrams and toxic waste often spring to mind. This presentation uses dozens of demonstrations, including puffs and bangs and yes, magic, to illustrate why the study of matter and the changes it undergoes is central to our lives. Suitable for children 8 years and older.
