The 5th Annual Albert Aguayo Lecture entitled "Neuronal Plasticity and Genomic Diversity" will be given by Fred H. Gage, Ph.D., Professor in the Laboratory of Genetics of The Salk Institute, USA. This annual lecture honours Dr. Albert Aguayo, founder and former Director of the Centre for the Research in Neuroscience at McGill University.

This year’s Dorothy J. Killam Lecturer is Dr. Nora D. Volkow who is the Director of the National Institute on Drug Abuse (NIDA), National Institutes of Health. Dr. Volkow’s work has been instrumental in demonstrating that drug addiction is a disease of the human brain. She will deliver the Dorothy J Killam lecture on Monday, May 12th, 2014 at 4:00 pm in the Jeanne Timmins Amphitheatre.

Montréal, le 2 décembre 2013 — L’EMBA McGill HEC Montréal est heureux d’annoncer la création d’un programme de bourses dédié aux gestionnaires des peuples autochtones du Canada. Chaque année, une bourse d’un montant de 40 000 $ sera octroyée en fonction du mérite.
En créant ce programme de bourses, l’EMBA McGill HEC Montréal a pour objectif d’appuyer les gestionnaires issus des peuples autochtones du Canada dans la poursuite de leur parcours académique et leur cheminement professionnel.
The EMBA McGill - HEC Montreal is launching a scholarship program aimed at Canada’s Indigenous population. Each year, a manager of Indigenous origin will be chosen to receive a $40,000 scholarship. The selection will be based on merit.
The McGill - HEC Montreal EMBA program looks for individuals with different but complementary profiles. The diversity of candidates within each cohort is essential to the learning approach of the program. The Indigenous Peoples scholarship will help to further enrich this diversity.
It goes without saying that following the tragic disaster of July 6, 2013, residents of Lac Mégantic need all the support that can be provided to them, and times of tragedy, music can be a tremendous comfort.
