Our guest speaker will be a U.S. Consular Officer who will tell you more about:

  • The US Consulate's services and how to use them
  • Where to find the information you need
  • How & where to apply for US immigration documents (e.g. US visa)

Please note this session is intended for international students and staff, and that Canadian citizens do not generally need a visa to visit the USA.

Melatonin Supplements Could Prevent Osteoporosis

In recent years, melatonin supplements have exploded on the market as a tool to help people get to sleep—the Nutrition Business Journal estimated that in 2012 (the most recent year for which data are available) sales reached $260 million; in 2007, that number was just $90 million. Now scientists say the immensely popular pills could help prevent or even reverse osteoporosis.

For the second year in a row, McGill is making a commitment to reach out beyond the Roddick Gates by raising funds for breast cancer research, education, and awareness programs. On Sunday, October 5, members of our community will take part in the 2014 Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation CIBC Run for the Cure in Montreal.
