There will be an electrical shutdown in the McLennan Library Building Main Floor on Sunday May 12,2013 from 6am to 8pm, in order to complete a panel upgrade to the electrical framework. The shutdown will involve the area behind the elevators in the McLennan Lobby only. Access to computers will be available in the Cyberthèque. Self-check machines and catalogues will be accessible throughout the McLennan-Redpath Library Complex.

McGill University researchers have unlocked a new door to developing drugs to slow the progression of Parkinson’s disease. Collaborating teams led by Dr. Edward A. Fon at the Montreal Neurological Institute and Hospital -The Neuro, and Dr. Kalle Gehring in the Department of Biochemistry at the Faculty of Medicine, have discovered the three-dimensional structure of the protein Parkin.
NSERC has begun a series of community engagement visits to provide researchers, students and other stakeholders an opportunity to learn more about some recent program and policy developments. These visits will also serve as a platform for the community to engage in discussions on programs and policies and seek more information from some of NSERC's grants and scholarships experts.
