Workshop: Fostering academic integrity in students' work

Thu, 2007-11-22 14:00 - 16:00
McLennan Library Building : 3459 rue McTavish Montreal Quebec Canada , H3A 0C9

The workshop will be conducted in the form of a roundtable discussion of issues pertinent to academic integrity at McGill. Plagiarism is only one of the problems that must be addressed in resolving the issues of academic integrity. Technology may be used in many creative ways; we are seeing sophisticated users of technology manipulating data in ways that are far more complex than simply cutting and pasting text into documents. Published academic research and the resulting literature must be seen as a reliable and accurate record of the investigations that are recorded there.
