Montreal Matters: "Beast of Beauty" workshop

Co-sponsored by McGill Centre for Research and Teaching on Women, Breast Cancer Action Montreal and CLSC NDG, this interactive workshop, run by Madeleine Bird, coordinator, Health and Environment Awareness Project, explores toxic chemicals in cosmetics. We'll look at the regulatory framework, some ingredients to watch out for, and positive ways to respond to the problem. Then we'll make our own cosmetics products to take home. Registration required; we can accommodate 10 people. Participants may register by email (subject line: "CBC Montreal Matters Beast of Beauty Workshop"). Admission is free, but we will gladly accept contributions at the door to help cover the cost of the workshop materials.
