Buyback of used textbooks starts August 25

Students can sell their used textbooks for cash at the McGill Bookstore on Monday to Friday from August 25 to September 12. Buyback hours are from 10am to 5pm. Click on "Cash for Books" at the Bookstore website to see if the Bookstore wants your particular book.

The evening is casual with a buffet dinner served overlooking New London Bay and the Stanley River. The Stanley Bridge Country Resort is approximately 30 minutes form Charlottetown and 5 minutes from Cavendish.

McGill alumni from the New York area are hitting the sands for what we like to call the Summer Beach Olympics. Teams of McGill grads will square off against squads from local ski clubs in some good-natured competitions. Games include volleyball, horseshoes, tug-of-war and others too silly to explain here.

Personalized immunotherapy to fight HIV/AIDS.

For a long time, the main obstacle to creating an AIDS vaccine has been the high genetic variability of the HIV virus. Dr. Jean-Pierre Routy and his team from the Research Institute of the McGill University Health Centre (MUHC), in collaboration with Dr. Rafick Sékaly from the Université de Montréal, have overcome this difficulty by designing a personalized immunotherapy for infected patients.
