Parts of the Osler Library will close on Wednesday, November 7, at 12:00 p.m. due to its annual Board of Curators meeting. The information desk, reference area and rare material consulting will be unavailable on that afternoon, but our circulating collection and the journals will still be available. Access to these is via the Life Sciences Library internal staircase.
From November 8 to 13 the Howard Ross Management Library is being updated to serve you better. We are replacing carpet and installing a new service desk for loans and information. The Library will remain open, and the Loans & Reserve/Information Service will continue while the improvements take place. We apologize for any inconvenience. SciFinder Scholar 2007 is now available to McGill authorized users for download. New features in the 2007 version include: categorizing your results to get information on topics or substances occurring in your references, combining answer sets, and exporting lists of chemical commercial sources to Excel.
Due to system upgrades that affect Banner and Minerva, the myMcGill portal will have limited functionality this weekend, from 5 pm on Friday, Nov. 16, until 6 am on Monday, Nov. 19. In particular, links which access Minerva directly will not be functional, and the following portlets will be hidden: Faculty Courses, Student Courses, Student Society Links, and Announcements.
These systems have been successfully upgraded and are now available.
