McGill University has announced the donation of $300,000 by HSBC Bank Canada to establish the permanently endowed HSBC Bank Canada Management Awards at the Desautels Faculty of Management. The awards will be given annually to outstanding undergraduate students enrolled in the Bachelor of Commerce program and pursuing a major in Finance who have demonstrated high academic standing as well as a strong commitment to community service. On December 4, 2007, McGill University's Office of Technology Transfer (OTT) will go live with its new website as a member of the Flintbox Network. This common platform is already used by more than 50 universities, government labs and other research organizations across Canada. In joining, McGill University completes the Flintbox Network to Canadian universities' intellectual property. With users from more than 100 countries around the world, this site will provide McGill with additional reach to effectively market its innovations and expertise.
