Scary Saturday at the Redpath Museum - SOLD OUT

Bring the kids and learn about skeletons and bones and other things that people find scary. Led by bilingual museum educators, the visit starts with a tour of the dinosaurs and mummies, includes a bone-handling session and finishes with each child making a scary mask to take home. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Maximum size of session: 25 children.

The lecture is for non-experts, and will discuss his work on two major processes that enrich the interstellar medium: supernovae and planetary nebulae (PNs). The night sky in Chile is special and spectacular -- on a moonless night, the stars are bright enough to create shadows.
