"Cultural Diversity and Vulnerable Families" - Call for papers for symposium at UQAM, June 22-23, 2008
This symposium, organized by Grave-Ardec in collaboration with the Chaire de recherche du Canada sur la victimisation des enfants, is an opportunity for reflection on perspectives of cultural competency and a place to learn from the conflicts, confrontations and challenges, but also from the successes of intervention, to promote protection and development of vulnerable children.

The Pain Centre of McGill University is open for applications for the Alan Edwards Fellowship in Clinical Pain Research. Fellows will divide their time between clinical pain research and clinical activities at the Pain Centre that will be directly related to their research. This Fellowship position is intended for physicians in multiple disciplines who are interested in conducting original clinical research in the field of Pain Medicine. Previous research experience is preferable but not mandatory. The Fellowship has a stipend that is commensurate with experience. The start date for this position is flexible. Funding is for one year, with a second year of support contingent on satisfactory progress. The Call Pilot Voice mail problem that was experienced this morning was fixed around 10:08 a.m.
We are currently experiencing problems with the McGill telephone system. No outbound calls are allowed at this time. However, calls coming in from outside McGill are working. An update will be posted here when more information is available.
Earlier problems with the McGill phone system have been resolved and service has been restored to 90 per cent. Some users may still experience a fast busy tone when attempting to make outbound calls. An update will be posted when more information is available.
