On November 13, 2015, the Marcel Desautels Institute for Integrated Management (MDIIM) and the Dobson Centre for Entrepreneurship co-sponsored a half-day workshop on social entrepreneurship. Entitled “Social Entrepreneurship: Designing your career, your enterprise, and your impact”, the event featured a broad range of attendees – from those new to the concept of entrepreneurship to established entrepreneurs.

Recently, Dr. Victoria Talwar’s 4-year-old was caught standing in suspicious circumstances. He was hiding behind the pantry door, but when questioned about what he was doing, he took on an air of complete innocence. “Were you eating one of the cookies?” –one of the forbidden cookies that he had been told he could not have. The 4-year-old shook his head “No!” but there was a chocolate smear around his lips. When questioned about these marks on his face, the 4-year-old paused and his mind feverishly searched for a reply. Update: McGill Lecturer Wins Translation Prize

Debbie Blythe, a translator and lecturer at the McGill School of Continuing Studies' Translation and Written Communication unit, has been awarded the Cole Foundation Prize for Translation - French to English. Blythe received the award in recognition for her work on Turkey and the Armenian Ghost: On the Trail of the Genocide. The prize was awarded as part of the Quebec Writers' Federation QWF Literary Awards, the most important literary event of the year for Quebec English-language writers and readers.
