Lectures and Panels

Luncheon Lectures

The Career Development Office hosts a Luncheon Lecture Series at the Faculty of Law. Lectures are offered throughout the year covering a variety of topics such as "The Nuts and Bolts of Job Searching in Toronto", "The Current State of the Legal Market in Montreal", etc.

These lectures are usually sponsored by legal employers. Topics and guest speakers vary from year to year. Luncheon Lectures are a good way for McGill Law students to become more familiar with legal issues that are of particular interest to them.

Panels

The CDO also hosts several panels, which provide valuable information on recruitment in different fields, as well as excellent networking opportunities for students.

This year, we have scheduled several luncheon lectures and panels such as:

September

  • Toronto OCI Panel

October

  • Human Rights Networking Lunch
  • "The Business of Law" - Speaker: Mike Nelson

January

  • Panel de la pratique en entreprise

February

  • Alternative Career Conference
