Registering for Courses
Most courses above the 200-level have prerequisites. Although these can be waived by instructors in some cases, students are urged to confirm their eligibility for courses when preparing the program of study. Please note that some courses may not be available due to space limitations or program restrictions.
Not all courses are available in a given year. When planning their program, students should be aware that courses not offered in the current year are not necessarily offered in the foreseeable future. Other courses that are not specifically listed may be substituted with the permission of the Catholic Studies Adviser.

This course will focus on the portrayal and treatment of Catholicism in media culture, as well as the Catholic Church's own perception on the place and value of the various cultural forms of communication prevalent in society. Television, films, music, the internet, and material culture will be examined as sites of meaning-making and creative tension between various groups.
